POSITION:Research Scientist Level I-NL Grade 18
Salary: $47,860.00 + $3,026.00 Location Pay
 
DEPARTMENT:RESEARCH ASSESSMENT & TRAINING
 
DUTIES:Work in research group conducting epidemiologic, clinical, and genetic studies of alcohol, drug and psychiatric disorders. Responsibilities for computer aspects of studies based on these interviews. The Research scientist will also assist in writing grants, progress reports and papers, and assume other responsibilities as needed.
 
EDUCATION:Ph.D. in health-related field preferred, or master's degree plus one year of experience, or bachelor's degree and two years of experience.
 
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Meticulous in carrying out research protocols and be able to maintain a high level of accuracy with minimal supervision. Computer programming experience or familiarity with logic algorithms required. Project coordination experiences a plus. Background in psychology, clinical experience, or familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses a plus. Excellent GPA/test scores (if recent) also a plus. Careful, diligent work habits, ability to maintain focused attention, and familiarity with computers essential. Minimum two years commitment required. Proficiency in Hebrew, Russian or Spanish preferred.
