| POSITION: | Research Support Assistant Level III Grade 12 |
| Salary: $34,347.00 ($17,173.50) 50% | |
| DEPARTMENT: | EPIDEMIOLOGY |
| DUTIES: | The duties of the Research Assistant may include but are not limited to. Assist with the screening and selection of study subjects and obtain informed consent. Arrange interviews and appointments, assists families with transportation. Arrange for videotaping sessions for interrater reliability. Ensure subjects fees and transportation allowances are processed. Assist subjects with evaluations that do not require a clinician. Establish and maintain case files-enter all subjects transactions into the Family Studies Tracking System. Enter data from evaluations into database. Clean Data. Maintain minutes of scientific meetings. |
| EDUCATION: | Bachelors Degree Preferably in Psych or related field preferred. |
| TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: | Previous psychiatric research experience desirable. Spanish highly desirable. Experience with children and adolescents helpful. |
| SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: | Must have strong interpersonal skills for with children and adolescents, be able to be available for occasional weekend or evening work to meet subjects needs. This position involves regular and substantial contact with children. The successful candidate will be screened through the New York State Central Child Abuse Register prior to assuming any duties that will involve contact with children. |
