| DUTIES: | ANTICIPATED POSITION This position involves investigation of major epidemiologic and genetic epidemiologic questions related to alcohol, drug and psychiatric disorders. Potential activities will include working with datasets including (1) a large, national survey dataset with rich detail on Axis I and II DSM-IV disorders that includes a 3-year follow-up, (2) a 10-year prospective study of heavier-than-average drinkers, and (3) genetic association data with family-based and unrelated subjects. The incumbent will be involved with analyzing and writing up results for publication. The incumbent will work closely with the Principal Investigator on these projects. The position offers considerable opportunity for professional development and advancement for a talented and motivated individual. |
| EDUCATION: | Doctorate and two years of professional research experience in the appropriate field or a master's degree and four years of such experience. Appropriate fields include Epidemiology, Psychology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Sociology, Social Work, Economics, or a related field. |
| TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: | Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD, track record of publication, and experience with comparable complex datasets. |
