POSITION:Research Scientist Level III-NL Grade 25
Salary: $70,925.00 - $84,173.00 + $3,026.00 Location Pay
 
DEPARTMENT:CLINICAL PHENOMENOLOGY
 
DUTIES:ANTICIPATED POSITION The incumbent will be involved with work on studies of behavioral interventions (e.g., motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy) to reduce drinking, drug use and other risk behaviors in various patient settings. The incumbent will administer the interventions, supervise other clinicians, and conduct diagnostic evaluations. The incumbent will also be engaged in manuscript writing, development of new treatments, and design of new studies. The position offers considerable opportunity for professional development and advancement for a talented and motivated individual.
 
EDUCATION:Doctorate and two years of relevant clinical research experience in the appropriate field or a Master's degree and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate fields include Psychology, Social Work or related areas.
 
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD and a demonstrated track record of publication, and to applicants who have completed an APA approved internship and training in substance abuse treatment research.
