| DUTIES: | DUTIES: This position is with the Psychiatric Services and Clinical Knowledge Enhancement System (PSYCKES) Quality Improvement Initiative. PSYCKES is a web-based program developed by the NYS Office of Mental Health to support quality improvement and clinical decisionmaking, and is the foundation of a major initiative to improve psychotropic prescribing practices statewide. The Research Scientist will take a leadership role in all aspects of developing, planning, and executing the implementation and evaluation of the PSYCKES project in the community. Specific duties will include but are not limited to, the following: · Coordinate and monitor all aspects of project implementation, including PSYCKES access, technical assistance, project reporting, and evaluation, and produce reports to aid in project decision making. · Develop and coordinate implementation and training protocols for participating sites in the use of PSYCKES, CQI processes, quality issues, and other topics as needed. · Participate in developing communication and outreach strategies and materials for clinicians, consumers, and other stakeholders on all aspects of the PSYCKES initiative. · Participate in evaluation activities, including the production of documents which disseminate research and evaluation findings in the form of presentations, management information reports, and scientific journals for a variety of audiences. |
| EDUCATION: | Doctorate and two years experience in an appropriate field, or a master's degree and three years of experience. Appropriate fields include: Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Public Health, Biostatistics, Organizational Behavior, or a related social science field. |
| TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: | Preference will be given to candidates with experience managing large implementation or research projects, experience in community mental health agencies, and/or quality improvement protocols. Experience in managing staff a plus. |
