POSITION:Research Project Manager Level I-NL Grade 14
Salary: $38,433.00 + $3,026.00 Location Pay
 
DEPARTMENT:MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES RESEARCH AND POLICY
 
DUTIES:The person selected for this position will be responsible for the assisting with the day-to-day functioning of the policy initiatives of the Director of the Division of Mental Health Services and Policy Research and the Associate Director of Adult Services in the division. He/she will be responsible for providing backup for answering and providing/triaging information for the Director by telephone and in person. He/she will help maintain the Director's electronic calendar and address book, schedule meetings, coordinate travel arrangements and submit and track all reimbursements related to policy initiatives. He/she will help coordinate policy and research activities of the Director. He/She will be responsible for similar duties for the Associate Director for Adult Services and for administrative support, completion of regulatory paperwork, and data entry related to the Associate Director's work on grants and contracts. He/she will also provide assistance to the Division Administrator as needed. This person will also help with other Division initiatives, including the Evidenced Based Technical Assistance Center, and the coordination of the Division's weekly seminar series. He/she will assist with literature reviews, formatting references and providing editorial support for grant applications and reports.
 
EDUCATION:Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and one year of research administration experience. Thirty credit hours of graduate study in an appropriate field may be substituted for the year of experience. Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, public health, or a related social science field preferred.
 
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:Must have experience with WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and be comfortable with electronic calendars and record-keeping. Experience with biomedical, behavioral, and social science research is preferred. Prefer candidate with some grant and/or research management experience.
 
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and computer skills required. Must be organized and detail oriented.
