POSITION:Research Support Assistant Level III-NL Grade 13
Salary: $36,346.00 ($18,173.00) 50%
 
DEPARTMENT:MOLECULAR IMAGING AND NEUROPATHOLOGY
 
DUTIES:Administer neuropsychological tests and social tasks, and coordinate testing protocols for both adults and children (down to the age of 10) in study of familial risk factors for depression and suicidal behavior. Will be trained to administer a set of standard neuropsychological tests, specialized computer tasks, and social stress procedures. Responsibilities include scheduling, data collection, database management, and elementary analysis. Opportunities exist to participate in publications and to develop own research interests.
 
EDUCATION:Master's Degree in Psychology or equivalent or Bachelor's Degree and one year experience in psychological research setting preferred.
 
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:Experience in administration of neuropsychological tests in psychiatric settings is preferred. Familiarity with computers is required. Must be mature and sensitive to the clinical needs of patients who participate in research.
 
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Good interpersonal skills, detailed oriented. This position involves regular and substantial contact with children. The successful candidate will be screened through the New York State Central Child Abuse Register prior to assuming any duties that will involve contact with children.
