Proposal Policies and Procedures
Grants and contracts are awarded
to the Research Foundation for Mental Hygience, Inc., NYSPI Division, on behalf
of individual investigators. Only the Director of Administration, the Deputy
Director of Administration, or their designees may accept a grant or contract.
While sponsored funds may allow a great deal of freedom to conduct a project,
they always come with a concomitant level of responsibility for proper stewardship.
Acceptance of a grant or contract by RFMH signifies a willingness to assume
responsibility for the administration of the funds in accordance with the terms
specified by the awarding agency. Each sponsored project principal investigator
(PI) or project director has the obligation to share this responsibility with
the RFMH staff.
